Delhi´s most fascinating community the Kathputli Colony gives home to over 3.000 artists, magicians, acrobats and puppeteers and their families. The colony that emerged here over decades and whose art became an Indian national treasure today is threatened with extinction. The government sold the land on which it is located to property developers. The residents cannot imagine that their art, which is so tied to street life, will blossom in the high-rise flats to which they are to be resettled. Against the backdrop of these events is a carousel of melancholy memories and reflections about whether to forget their previous life and move on or stay and fight for their homes and traditions.
